Canisbegeleiding offers private lessons and individual training walks, based on reinforcing desired behavior using reward-based techniques such as positive reinforcement. The well-being of the dog is paramount, and no aversive training methods are used. Instead, we employ pain-free techniques to avoid unnecessary stress on the dog.
Our private lessons are completely tailored to you and your dog, adapted to your desires and your dog's capabilities. We offer lessons at your home or other locations in Amstelveen and its surroundings.
If you're looking for an effective and individualized approach to basic obedience training, with an emphasis on stopping leash pulling or teaching recall, you've come to the right place. We offer specific exercises focused on self-control, self-confidence, calmness, and relaxation for your dog.
Do you have a dog with specific issues, such as an insecure adult dog, a shelter dog, or a dog from abroad? Then we offer specific advice and guidance to help your dog better cope with these situations.
(Socialization) Walks:
Want to get more out of your walks with your dog? Do you want to get to know your dog better and enjoy walks even more, including better interaction with other dogs, walkers, runners, cyclists, or horses?
At Canisbegeleiding, we strive to provide you and your dog with a relaxed walking experience. We believe that a relaxed walk for the dog also means a relaxed walk for you, and vice versa!
SERVICES AND RATES
Private Training
We offer private training, both with and without the owner, which means we can train your dog individually. Training sessions can be conducted in Dutch, English, or Spanish. We adapt to your needs and preferences so that you and your dog receive the best training in the language that is most comfortable for you.
At Canisbegeleiding, we offer training for all major basic obedience exercises and education, with the aim of improving the well-being and safety of the dog, especially aimed at teenagers and adult dogs.
Our training is effective and dog-friendly, mainly based on rewarding desired behavior using reward-based techniques, such as positive reinforcement.
We offer specific training aimed at stopping leash pulling and learning to walk without pulling. We also work on the recall command so that your dog can walk off-leash during walks and in many other situations.
Additionally, we help manage the dog's reactive behavior, caused for example by cyclists, runners, or other dogs/animals.
Our working method is as follows:
- We schedule a date together for the first consultation, which takes place at your home. During this consultation, we discuss your and your dog's specific needs. Then we take a walk with the dog to better understand its behavior.
- After the first consultation, I will send you a brief summary of what we discussed, including the action plan, via WhatsApp/email.
- After each session, you will receive a summary of the training and which exercises you will continue to develop. I am always available for any questions and advice you may need throughout the training process.
With this structured approach, we ensure that both you and your dog receive the appropriate guidance and that the training is effective.
Walks Together in the Forest
We offer walks together in the forest, where we provide real-time training while walking. This allows you to get to know your dog better by recognizing its body language in different situations and contexts.
During these walks, you will learn what to do and how to effectively manage the situation. This provides valuable experiences in real-life environments for both you and your dog, strengthening your bond and optimizing the learning process.
RATES
Here are the rates for our services:
- First consultation at the client's home: €75 (90 minutes) related to behavioural issues (assesment + training/advice)
- Private training: €55 per session of 60 minutes or €65 per session of 75 minutes
- Forest walks: €40 per walk of 60 minutes (dogs without behavioural issues, you will learn about dog body language, play games on-the-go to increase your dog's attention to you and recall)
- One-on-one dog walking + training €55 (60 min)
- Outside of Amstelveen, we charge a fee of €0.30 per kilometer as compensation for travel expenses.

ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Cristina, a certified private dog trainer and following an educational traject as canine behavior therapist at Edupet, the most renowned educational institute in the Netherlands belonging to the Martin Gaus Academy. In addition to private lessons, I assist as a canine trainer at DogStars dog school in Alphen aan den Rijn on weekends.
Animals are my passion. I grew up with different types of dogs and cats, and for the past ten years, I have been actively involved in dog training.
During my studies, I acquired both practical and theoretical knowledge on a wide range of topics.
